CARTON SEALING TAPE SELECTION GUIDE

When deciding on what tape to use, take into consideration the following:

  • Adhesive – use the chart below to determine what adhesive is correct for your application

  • Film Backing – Today, most carton sealing tapes have a polypropylene film backing. Choose PVC or Polyester for your most demanding applications.

  • Thickness – In general, the greater the Mil thickness, the stronger the tape.

  • Color – Choose from Clear, Tan or an assortment of colors. See specific tapes for details.

  • Roll Size – Most tapes are available in 2 to 3 inch widths and lengths ranging from 55 to 110 yards for hand applications and 1000 to 1500 yards for machine applications.
